Photo Wednesday: Colored Rocks on Samosir, Lake Toba

On the second day of my motor bike tour of Samosir island my butt really hurt.  I shifted uncomfortably on the bike’s narrow seat (that lacked cushion for what I was pushin’) as we progressed up the mountain winding road.  These colored rocks appeared.  They provided a great break for me to get of that god forsaken bike to stretch my legs and take this picture.  I don’t know who painted these rocks, but they provided such beauty on a grey, rainy day in north Sumatra.
